Pretzel Bites

Time: 90 minutes Yield: 50 bites

  • 1 Package Pizza Crust Mix
  • Yeast Packet (included)
  • 2 tsp. Psyllium Husk Powder
  • 2 c. Very Warm Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking Soda
  • Vegan Butter, Melted
  • Coarse Sea Salt

Follow instructions on Pizza Crust Mix, adding 2 tsp. of psyllium husk. Once dough has come together, separate into four pieces. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each piece (one at a time) into a long log about ½ inch thick. Cut the log into 1” pieces and place them onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat until all dough is used. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and allow to rise for 1 hour. As the dough nears the end of it’s rising, bring six cups of water to a rolling boil and slowly add in 1 tablespoon of Baking Soda. Add 10-15 pretzels at a time to the water and boil for about 30 seconds and remove with a slotted spoon, placing them back on your baking sheet. Brush pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Score the top of each bite with a paring knife. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
